Solutions by Design

The University of Wisconsin-Madison is experiencing its biggest
construction boom since the 1960s.Their 20-year master plan will
"create a campus that continues to feel more human, more inviting
,and more steeped in tradition ,even as growth continues."This
plan encouraged UW-Madison to think smarter about parking.
By using previously occupied space to construct buildings and develop
more green space, the need for more parking on campus arose.Construction
scheduled for a research complex totaling $134 million, which is
part of the master plan, made the need for the Lot 76 ramp more critical.UW-Madison
desired amodest ramp that blended architecturally into the neighborhood
and replaced parking lost to new construction. The ramp was completed
under budget, on schedule, and construction of the research complex
proceeded as scheduled.
