On People and Parking:CPTED-You've
Got to Think Like a Crook

As the early evening shadows lengthen,a convicted felon lurks
in a darkened alley. From his perch he has a clear view of three
manned parking lots. Each cashier is closing out, counting their day's
cash. "I'm gonna rob one,"the prep thinks, "hmmm……but
which one?" As a parking manager, you're hoping your lot isn't
the one selected.
The current understanding of the concept of Crime Prevention Through
Environmental Design(CPTED)suggests that the one lot with the weakest
"built environment"will be the one attacked.
