Imagine your customer has found an open parking spot on a busy
city street. But his relief turns to frustration with one sudden,
sinking realization: he has no change to feed the meter. Store owners
are reluctant to give him change, so he either leaves or takes his
chance with a ticket.
As of November 1, 2006 in West Palm Beach, drivers now have a third
option. They can pay for their parking with their cell phones. This
new way to pay for parking is the next step in the city's planned
parking program to provide convenient parking for its customers.
