Unfortunately, break-ins still occur at pay stations in parking facilities and at pay stations on the street. Not only parking revenues are lost, but multiples of these amounts are needed to repair the damage. In the Netherlands, the suppliers of the payment equipment-who are members of Vexpan-are represented in the Vexpan Committee for parking control equipment. This committee has drawn up a number of focus points, intended to prevent or limit the damage as far as possible.

The focus points primarily concern pay stations(fee paid after parking) and ticket machines(street parking).
