美国各大城市都在求助于停车规划师，以培育新的商业增长点和提高居民生活质量，同时应对各种交通问题。一些城市近期已开始重新评估他们的城市停车规划，以便更好的满足个性化城市需求。
规划的制定过程并没有看上去那么简单，不仅仅是要指出城市需要设置多少停车场。停车可以转变一个城市运转的方式，但目前并没有制定停车规划的标准方法。
每个城市都得根据自己的需求制定停车规划，停车规划过程一般包括研究、战略规划和沟通。

Cities across the United States are turning to parking planners to help foster new business growth, enhance the quality of life for residents, and meet mass transit challenges. The planning process isn't as simple as it may seem. It's not merely a matter of figuring out how much parking city officials want and dropping it in. Parking has the power to transform the way a city functions, and there are no standard solutions to devising a parking plan.
Each of these cities has its own unique needs and faces distinctive challenges ,parking plan revolves around a three phase approach that includes research,strategic planning and communication.
