根据美国能源部的统计，全国有2000多万个停车场的照明灯长时间开着，其中很多是每周7天全天24小时亮着。目前有4万多个停车场使用的是氙气照明，与LED照明相比效率较低。传统灯具每年的耗电量高达222亿度，如果采用LED照明，可以节省50%甚至更多的电量。

In the market of parking facility construction, developers are faced with balancing capital costs with environmental concerns including impervcious surfaces, stormwater management and a requirement to use earth-friendly products. While costs and challenges to build parking lots and parking structures are high ,the fees to properly maintain them are even higher.
